TRAUMA-INFORMED WORK
Heart of the Earth Founder: Kanachiari
My healing work began in my early twenties and spans three decades. I've lived and worked in ashrams, opened and facilitated healing centers, traveled from Eastern Europe to South America, homebirthed two beautiful children, and have written two award-winning/nominated literary poetry collections, and hold a Masters in Fine Arts.
I've undergone extensive traditional Shipibo-Conbo and Mestizo initiations, many in the Amazon jungle, as well as Celtic and Vedic initiations. I work as a Curendera with the permissions and blessings of traditional healers, and carry the medicines of over two dozen Master Plants. I hold certification in Shamanic Herbalism, trauma-informed plant medicine facilitation, and as a Kambo practitioner (as well as trainings in Kundalini Vidya, and earlier trainings in sound healing, vibrational medicine, aromatherapy and more). My work is deeply influenced by poly-vagual theory and somatic therapy practices.
Over the years I've been guided, initiated and deeply influenced by numerous teachers, medicine people, and gurus (the most noteworthy being Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi, and the rare living jewel, Shiva Rudra Balayogi). In the fullness of my practice, I draw from my own Celtic roots and from a deep connection to India (my grandmother was born and raised in India, as was her mother and grandmother).
Nowadays my work is almost exclusively with healers, and I offer mentorship primarily through Master Plant Dieta initiations, ceremonial training and apprenticeships. I also train house & land healers.
I live and work with gratitude and reverence on the homelands of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples (lower Vancouver Island): həyšxʷq́̓ə siiem (thank you honorable ones). I share ceremonial work with my partner, who is a Kambo practitioner, Vedanta mentor and meditator, and inspired singer-song-writer.

(Kanachiari is a "medicine name" given via the Shipibo tradition. It's a name for a Master Tree also known as Toé, Floripondio, Brugmansia, Angel's Trumpet Tree, and other names.)
