Heart of Cacao: Cacao Ceremonies with Shamanic Drumming

Why do many of us turn to chocolate for pleasure and emotional comfort? Because somewhere we know that this food naturally offers all the chemical compounds needed for emotional release and heart opening, for forgiveness and deep relaxation.
Ceremonial Cacao is a deep heart opener and visionary facilitator. This ancient shamanic medicine has been largely overlooked as a journeying medicine because there's no overt psychedelic show. Cacao oxygenates the brain, softens the frontal lobe, opens the bliss state with the cannabinoid, anandamide, while the "love chemical" phenethylamine softens the heart and deeply relaxes us. Cacao opens the gate, and we can decide to walk through it.
Shamanic drumming has been shown to alter brain waves and shift us into a theta-wave visioning state. Drumming is in our DNA: the hand drum and shamanic ritual has been found on cave walls dating back tens of thousands of years. When we combine primordial beats with this journeying medicine we can access those places within that hold answers we need, or that need healing. When we gather in circle (another thing humans have done since the dawn) and more importantly, gather with intention, we find that we are willing to walk through that gate and safely enter new (or old) territory.
I'm presently offering three hour heart-opening ceremonies that include the following: smudging with Palo Santo and intention setting, two servings of ceremonial Cacao during the event (individual doses discussed), drum journeying with deep breathing to ground and focus, longer drum journeying into the heart space with intention. There will also be a single round of heart-focused group chanting (people can listen or participate), as well as Tibetan bowls and shanti chimes, and other chocolate delights.
Ceremonial Cacao is from from Yes Cacao: organic, wild harvested, single origin, direct trade, and delicious! Option to add organic raw organic honey, as well as organic rose oil, cardamon, and cinnamon. Purified water and coconut waster will be offered for ongoing hydration.
